Mayor attends tree planting festival at Aurobindo Sangh’s premises

Agartala, August 01, 2023: A tree planting festival was organized at the Aurobindo Sangh premises in the capital on Tuesday to mark India’s 77th Independence Day and the 69th foundation day of the Aurobindo Sangh, birth centenary of sage Aurobindo.

Mayor Dipak Majumder inaugurated the tree plantation program. Local councilor Alak Roy and president of Agartala Press Club Jayanta Bhattacharjee along with prominent people of the area were present.

Addressing the media, the Mayor said that such programs are very important. Trees have requirements. The mayor called for such programs to be held in the future to protect the balance of the environment.
