This year’s World Environment Day celebrations focused not only on planting more trees but also on ensuring the proper care and preservation of saplings after plantation. The plantation campaign was also conducted as part of various programmes undertaken to mark the completion of 12 years of the Central Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, a separate plantation programme was organized at Booth No. 7 under Ward No. 14, led by Ramnagar Mandal President Amitabh Bhattacharya. The event was attended by Ward No. 14 Corporator Snigdha Das Deb, former Mandal President Tapas Kumar Deb, and other party members and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants emphasized that tree plantation remains essential for maintaining ecological balance and ensuring a sustainable future for coming generations. They stressed that planting trees alone is not enough; proper care and protection of every sapling are equally important. The speakers also called upon the public to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts and contribute towards building a greener and healthier society.
