Agartala, July 19: Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan has been grappling with various issues arising from the lack of development in the school over the past few years. In response to this situation, the School Management Committee recently appealed to the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, Dipak Majumder, to intervene and address the problems.
Taking prompt action, Mayor Majumder, accompanied by Ratna Datta, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav, and other officials, conducted a thorough inspection of the school today. During a press conference held after the inspection, Mayor Majumder acknowledged the concerning conditions under which the school’s mid-day meals are prepared, citing an unsanitary environment as a primary concern. Additionally, he highlighted the absence of a boundary wall behind the school and the lack of paved drains. These issues have led to the infiltration of dirty water from neighboring houses onto the school property.
In light of these findings, Mayor Majumder assured the public and the school community that the Agartala Municipal Corporation would take immediate action. They plan to address the problems by constructing proper drains and a boundary wall for the school at the earliest.
The move comes as a relief for Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, as the assurance from the Mayor signals positive change and development for the school’s infrastructure and facilities.
