Agartala, 28th July 2025: A five-member delegation representing Bidhan Shishu Udyan Medha Anwesha submitted a memorandum to Education Director N.C. Sharma today urging action on several education-linked initiatives.
Led by Joint Convenor of the organization’s state committee and retired teacher Abdul Haque, the delegation advocated for the creation of a dedicated cell to promote kitchen gardens across schools and madrasas. They proposed the establishment of Helam nurseries at each institution, enabling the free distribution of flowering plants, fruits, vegetables and medicinal herbs to support the initiative.
Additional demands included the allocation of a designated vehicle for kitchen garden inspection visits, aimed at encouraging sustainable learning and environmental awareness among students.
Other members of the delegation included state committee members Parikshit Dey, Hiranmoy Ram and Moumita Majumdar along with Debprasad Bhattacharjee, Convenor of the Sepahijala District Committee.
Education Director Sharma acknowledged the legitimacy of the proposals and assured the team that appropriate steps would be taken to address their concerns.
