Agartala, 28th February 2026 : Employees of a microfinance company were allegedly assaulted by miscreants while on duty in the capital city.
Company directors Gautam Dutta and Ranjan Saha lodged a complaint at East Agartala Police Station on Saturday against two accused, Abhijit Banik and Srijan Saha.
According to the directors, on February 26 the accused, along with their associates, obstructed the staff while they were working in the Chandrapur area. The complaint further alleges that the employees were physically assaulted during the incident.
Director Ranjan Saha stated that the case was filed to ensure strict police action so that such incidents are not repeated in the future.
