Agartala, 29th July 2025: A tragic incident took place this afternoon at the Korilong area under Teliamura police station where a 45-year-old woman reportedly lost her life after falling into the pond behind her residence.
The deceased has been identified as Aparna Majumdar, wife of Swapan Majumdar. According to local sources, the incident took place around 2 PM when Swapan returned home and could not find his wife inside the house. After a brief search, he found her unconscious in their backyard pond.
Emergency responders from the local fire department were immediately called, who promptly recovered the body and transported it to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. Upon examination, the attending doctors declared her dead.
