Agartala, 4th July 2025: A fresh wave of alarm gripped Santirbazar after an overnight burglary at Santirbazar Model Higher Secondary School today. The incident adds to a string of thefts unsettling the town in recent weeks.
According to acting headmaster Narendra Chakraborty, staff found broken locks across several rooms including the principal’s office early this morning. Police were alerted and have since launched an investigation.
Teacher Samar Sarkar revealed that the school’s CCTV hard drive was stolen raising suspicions about a calculated attempt to erase evidence. He emphasized the need for increased night patrols and expressed concern over past thefts that remain unsolved.
