Agartala, 31st May 2025: Animal Resources Development Department Minister Sudhangshu Das today conducted a surprise visit to the Veterinary Hospital to inspect the quality of services being provided to the public and ensure proper functioning of the facility.
During his visit, the Minister interacted with patients’ families to understand the challenges they face and to identify any specific issues in service delivery. “Our primary objective is to ensure that the animals brought here for treatment receive 100% support and care. It is the responsibility of the doctors and officials to make sure that happens,” said Das.
The Minister stated that the visit was aimed at firsthand observation of hospital operations. “People living in this area who own animals must benefit from this facility. That’s why I came to see the ground reality myself,” he added.
Das acknowledged the presence of some loopholes in the hospital’s infrastructure and functioning. “We have identified certain gaps, and steps will be taken to resolve them. New equipment will also be provided to upgrade the hospital,” he assured. The visit reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening animal healthcare infrastructure and improving service delivery for livestock owners across the state.
