Agartala, 25th January 2025:   Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath criticized the Congress party for not giving due respect to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the framer of the Constitution, during the ‘Sanvidhan Gaurav Abhiyan’ organized by the 2-Mohanpur Mandal, Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Addressing the rally, Minister Nath emphasized the importance of the Constitution in the country’s development. “Whatever development is happening in the country is being done only because of the Constitution. And the framer of this Constitution is Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. He has provided many facilities for the countrymen,” he stated.

Minister Nath also highlighted the contributions of Dr. Ambedkar in providing job opportunities for people of ST, SC, and ABC castes. “The way the people of ST, SC, and ABC caste are getting job opportunities is all because of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, because he always worked for the advancement of the backward people,” he added.

Taking a dig at various political parties, including the Congress and CPI(M), Nath accused them of disrespecting and misusing the Constitution. “The CPI(M) and other political parties have never respected the Constitution. They have always misused it,” he said.

Minister Nath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for installing a portrait of Dr. Ambedkar in the Parliament building, a gesture he claimed the Congress party had never done. “After taking charge as the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi first installed a portrait of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the Parliament building. The Congress party had not done this before,” Nath remarked.

The event included a rally led by Minister Nath, saw enthusiastic participation from the attendees. Nath expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants, thanking them for their support and involvement in the campaign.
