Agartala, 25th September 2025: In a heartwarming gesture ahead of the Durga Puja festivities, a clothing distribution and festive greeting event was held today at the premises of Chinnamasta Kali Temple in Gournagar Panchayat. The initiative was jointly organized by Minister and Chandipur MLA Tinku Roy, along with Bappiraj Furniture.
Over 150 individuals received garments during the event, with sarees and traditional wear distributed among women, and dhotis handed out to senior citizens. Present at the occasion were Bappiraj Furniture proprietor Niranjan Dey, manager Tapas Chakraborty, and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Tinku Roy said, “This initiative was organized to extend early Durga Puja greetings and to stand beside the underprivileged. I’m grateful to Bappiraj Furniture for their support.” He also invited everyone to attend the Durga Puja celebrations at his residence in Srirampur, adding, “I warmly welcome all to join us and partake in the prasad.”
The minister further announced that on September 28, the day of Maha Shasthi, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha will formally inaugurate the Srirampur Sanghati Sarbojanin Puja. “Everyone is invited to be part of this auspicious occasion,” he said.
