Minister Tinku Roy’s wife Shankari leads humanitarian initiative on father’s death anniversary

Agartala, 24th November 2025:   Kailashahar Press Club’s founding member, noted social worker and political figure, the late Santosh Debroy passed away in 2011 following illness. Since then, his family has marked his death anniversary each year with social initiatives, keeping alive his legacy of service to society.

Continuing this tradition, his daughter Shankari Roy, wife of Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy visited Unakoti District Hospital in Kailashahar today. On the occasion, she distributed fruits and sweets to nearly 400 patients and hospital staff, accompanied by her daughter Sanskriti Roy, family member Abhik Dey and others.

Speaking to reporters here, Shankari Roy said she strives to follow the path shown by her father, dedicating herself to serving people. “Social service is my life’s mission, and I remain committed to standing by those in need,” she remarked, while offering prayers for the speedy recovery of all patients at the hospital.
