Ministry of Tourism, Government of India  Celebrated “National Tourism Day”

Agartala, 25th January 2023: Like every year, this year also the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is celebrated  “National Tourism Day” on 25 January 2023.

This year, two events were organized on this day in Agartala (Tripura) under the aegis of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Department of Tourism, Government of Tripura and Niljyoti Travel Agency.

In this, the students of the Youth Tourism Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya (ONGC, NIT, Kunjaban) of Agartala have participated in this event.

Firstly, Swachhata Abhiyan rally and painting competition was organized at Ujjayanta Palace, along with children were taken on a tour of Ujjayanta Palace and a film made on various tourist places of Tripura was shown to them. From state Tourism department Shri Tapan Kumar Das (Director Tourism), Shri Jayanta Debbarma (Joint Director tourism) and Shri Mrinal Kanti Das (Assistant Director) and From Ministry of Tourism Shri Ajay Krishna (Tourism Manager) and Miss Oshine Chakma (Assistant Tourism Manager) along with Shri Sanjeeb Acharya (Owner, Neeljoyti Travel Agency) were present.

Director Tourism briefed about the tourism destination of Tripura and how the young generation can play a vital role to help tourism to grow. Also Prize to winner for drawing competition and certificate along Cap distributed by Ministry of tourism, Govt of India and Tripura Tourism Department.

After this, in the afternoon, under the scheme of ” Development of border regions/villages” of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the students of the “Youth Tourism Club” of Kendriya Vidyalaya is taken for the “Border Tour” with the help of the Border Security Force, In this, commandant of 120 BN, BSF present during the event and enlighten the students of YTC about the duties and concept of Border and BSF. Further in the program the students were taken to the ZERO LINE along with BSF arms and weapon displayed to the students by the BSF officers and Jawans.After Refreshment from Ministry of Tourism gave vote of thanks to the Teachers of KVS and BSF officers and gave the souvenir to the students.
