Agartala, 14th January 2025: The main accused in the forcible abduction and gang rape of a 13-year-old minor girl has been arrested by the police of Kailashahar Women’s Police Station from Chennai in South India. The police produced him in court on Tuesday.
The arrested person’s name is Turab Ali. He lives in Srinathpur Gram Panchayat area of Kailashahar. According to the police, three youths led by Turab Ali from Srinathpur Gram Panchayat area of Kailashahar forcibly abducted and gang-raped a class 8 student. Turab Ali then fled to Chennai.
The incident took place on January 8, 2024 in Manuvally Gram Panchayat area of Kailashahar. After the minor’s father filed a case against a total of three youths including Turab Ali, Tafazzul Ali and Fuez Ali at the Kailashahar Women’s Police Station, the police registered the case and started investigating.
Later, the police arrested Tafazzul Ali and Fuez Ali out of the three men long ago, but the police were unable to arrest the main accused Turab Ali under any circumstances. Finally, the police were able to go to Chennai city and arrest Turab Ali by tracking his mobile phone.
