Miscreants attack ruling BJP Supporter; Police unwilling to register case

Agartala, May 9, 2023: Even if the party changes in power, the miscreants cannot change the culture. A family supported by the ruling party was beaten and injured by miscreants who had recently joined the BJP from the CPIM. The incident took at Aralia Ashram area in outskirts of the capital city.

Reportedly, after the declaration of the results of the 2023 assembly elections, miscreants demanded huge sums of money from Subhash Das’ son at his shop on every night. But the supporter of the BJP party in the area who was reluctant to pay that money was beaten up.

Hearing his screams, father, wife and his brother rushed to the spot and the miscreants pounced on them. These miscreants looted the store’s cash. Vandalized his shop. Subhash Das was seriously injured in the incident. Subhash Das is 62 years old.  He was hit on the head by the miscreants. Subhash Das is currently undergoing treatment at GB Hospital.

The police is not accepting cases from the family when they went to file a case with local police station. It is learned that the right hand and left hand of these miscreants are two policemen, Bappa Lodh and Dipti Pal. The whole family is suffering from insecurity.

The family of the injured person demanded from the government to arrest the accused miscreants as well as arrange to return the looted Rs 20,000. This incident created great tension in the entire area.
