Agartala, February 3, 2023: When the Agartala-Dharmannagar passenger train left Pecharthal and reached Dharmanagar on Wednesday, it was around 9 PM in the night.
On the way from Pecharthal to Panisagar, after coming to the middle, someone pulled the chain of the train, as a result of which the train stopped immediately. The passengers of the room saw some miscreant youths throwing some cartoons from the train into the forest. At the same time, the movement started among the passenger drivers in the train.
While investigating the cause of the stampede, it was learned that the passengers of the compartment where the miscreants threw the cartoons from the train said some youth got off the train and ran away with the cartoons. Railway police came to the spot. Despite a lot of searching, the police could not recover any material or the perpetrators. As a result, the passenger train stopped at the spot for about two hours. Finally reached Dharmanagar railway station two hours late. Passenger suffering is extreme. Now it is to be seen what action will be taken by the railway authorities and the police administration against the miscreants.
