Agartala, May 31: Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik today paid a visit to the homes of one child of Bishalgarh who tragically drowned in the river Khowai district and has expressed her grief.
During her visit, MoS Bhoumik expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and directed the concerned officials to ensure that the administration provides all possible government assistance to support them in coming days too.
The unfortunate incident occurred on May 21 when three children, Moutushi Das (12), Ankush Nama (7), and Khushi Roy (10), drowned while bathing in the Khowai river with their grandfather.
On facebook, Bhoumik wrote, “A few days ago, while visiting grandfather’s house in Khowai, Saptadeep Nama alias Ankush, son of Bapi Nama of Madhya Laxmibil Village Panchayat, Bishalgarh, died prematurely in the tragic death of a child in the Khowai river. I meet this family today and express my condolences. I have no words to comfort my family members”.
