MoS Pratima held tiffin meeting with people of Manikyanagar in Boxanagar

Agartala, September 02: Union minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhoumik held a tiffin meeting with area leaders under the Kadam tree in front of Manikyanagar Community Hall at Boxanagar assembly constituency on Friday. The Sepahijala (South) district president Debabrata Bhattacharjee, Rajya Committee Member Jasim Uddin, Mandal President Subhash Saha and other leaders were present.

She heard about the various problems of the people of the area and assured to solve them very soon. Especially, this road via Boxanagar to Rahimpur, Putia via Beluarchar is a long time demand of the people of 8-10 villages of the area and Bhoumik assured that this work will be done very soon.

100 percent farmers of Manikyanagar Gram Sabha depend on them to supply all the vegetables to the markets of Boxanagar, Beluarchar, Bishalghar, they demanded to install a deep tubewell in Manikyanagar area. She assured to speed up the renovation work of the miserable condition of roads connecting Boxanagar Bazar. In coming days, the union minister will visit every home in Boxanagar area.

In today’s meeting, all the leaders of the area gave an opportunity to speak openly to Bhoumik, which can be said that the common people did not have the opportunity to talk to the leaders during the rule of CPIM for 25 years.
