Mother tortured by Son after refused to give money

Agartala, 12th September 2024:  In a harrowing incident in Aralia in the outskirt of Agarala city a mother was brutally attacked by her son over money disputes. The victim, Sandhya Rishi Das, is currently receiving treatment at GB Hospital in Agartala following the violent assault.

According to reports, the accused, Bikash Rishi Das, the elder son of Narayan Rishi Das, has a history of demanding money from his mother. Today, Bikash’s demands escalated into violence. When Sandhya refused to give him money, Bikash reportedly kicked her to the ground, struck her forehead with a brick, and tied her hands and feet. The brutal assault left Sandhya’s forehead severely injured and covered in blood.

The incident came to light when neighbors, alarmed by Sandhya’s distress, contacted the fire department. Firefighters arrived at the scene, rescued the injured mother, and transported her to GB Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Locals have expressed outrage over the incident, calling for the immediate arrest of Bikash Rishi Das. The community’s demand for justice highlights the severe nature of the crime and the ongoing issue of domestic violence in the region.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the case. The police are expected to take stringent measures to ensure that Bikash Rishi Das is held accountable for his actions. The community awaits further developments in the case as they hope for justice for Sandhya Rishi Das.
