The families, who gathered in protest has argued that the move was “immoral” and demanded a halt to the disconnection. “If the fence is moved within 150 meters, it will safeguard essential structures and provide relief to the affected families,” Chaudhury stated. He assured the residents that he would raise the issue with the central government and advocate for the relocation of the fence. Additionally, he pledged to push for the rehabilitation of the 90 families, who have expressed willingness to relocate if provided with proper accommodation.
