Agartala, December 27, 2022: Former Chief Minister and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb has congratulated the state government led by Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha for announcing 12 percent DA in one step surpassing all previous records and employees’ expectation.

He spoke to the Chief Minister Dr Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on phone and thanked them for taking this strong step in the interests of employees. As a result of this decision of the government, all regular government employees, pensioners and other employees will also get the benefit.

As a result, since 2018, the DA gap between central government employees and state employees has come down to just 9 percent. Government employees and pensioners of the state got 20 percent dearness allowance during the present BJP-led government, including 3 percent during the COVID pandemic and 5 percent in the second phase.

It is to be noted that in the last budget of the financial year 2022-23, Finance Minister Dev Varma had kept sufficient funds for this in the government employees sector. Deb mentioned that Bharatiya Janata Party is responsible for fulfilling people’s expectations and promises. Under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Tripura government has not only fulfilled 100 percent of all election promises, starting from the social allowance of Rs 2,000, but has done much more than that. The benefit of this increased dearness allowance is not only to the employees, if the market and economy are strengthened, the common people will also be benefit.

Apart from this, the salary of those working in positions like part-time instructor, community health guide has increased by about 50 percent. 17 categories of workers including DRWs, Permanent Labourers, Monthly Rated Workers, Head Priests, etc. have also benefited.
