Agartala, 4th July 2025: A crucial meeting of the Telecom Advisory Committee was held today at the BSNL office in Kaman Chowmuhani here, as part of the committee’s quarterly review process. The session was attended by West Tripura Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, MP Biplab Kumar Deb said, “Various issues related to BSNL services in the state were discussed in detail. While we are working to resolve all existing problems locally, we are also drawing the attention of the central government to the challenges that require intervention at the national level.”
Highlighting recent improvements, Deb noted, “BSNL services have significantly improved compared to earlier. Fiber optic connectivity has now been extended to rural areas, which is a big step forward in strengthening digital infrastructure in Tripura.”
The committee reiterated its commitment to continue monitoring telecom services and ensuring better coverage and service delivery across the state.
