Agartala, 30th October 2024: In celebration of the festival of lights, Diwali, the Shitala Tali Development Committee organized a sitting drawing competition in the Town Shib Nagar area here on Wednesday. Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharyjee attended the event and emphasized the inclusivity of Diwali, noting that people of all castes, religions, and backgrounds come together to worship Shyama Maa.
“A drawing competition has been organized for Diwali to increase enthusiasm among the younger ones,” said Bhattacharya. He also extended Diwali wishes to the people of the state.
The event concluded with a clothing donation drive, where Bhattacharjee distributed clothes to the underprivileged. Ward No. 29 Corporator Alok Bhattacharya and other dignitaries were also present.
