Agartala, January 08, 2023: A large-scale protest march was organized from Churaibari Community Hall to Churaibari Railway Gate at Kadamtala-Kurti assembly constituency on Sunday under the initiative of North Tripura District Trinamool Congress.
Besides, a workers conference was held in the community hall on this day and winter clothes were distributed among the poor and needy people.
All India Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev, Pradesh TMC Secretary Abdul Hashim Talukdar, North Tripura District TMC President Bimal Nath and other leaders were present here.
On the other hand, a meeting was organized in the presence of All India Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev near Ichailalchhara Bazar under Bagbasa assembly constituency. The meeting was attended by many people from Bagbasa Assembly constituency including Trinamool Congress workers. From this meeting Trinamool Congress leaders gave assurance and hope that they will take all steps and help to restore democracy in the state in the interests of the people.
All India Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev said, “I am very hopeful that the people of Tripura state are looking for an alternative to the BJP and the alternative to the BJP today is none other than the Trinamool Congress.”
“BJP has betrayed the people in last four and half years, after that I don’t think people of this state will give another chance to BJP. To improve Tripura and form a new government, there is no option but Trinamool Congress in this state. We are ready to do whatever Trinamool Congress needs to do against BJP”, she added.
