Multiple vehicle accidents at Bishalgarh sub-division leave seven injured

Agartala, 28th December 2024:    A total of seven people were injured in three separate vehicle accidents in the Bishalgarh subdivision on Saturday morning. The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Despite ongoing awareness programs, vehicle accidents in the Sepahijala district show no sign of decreasing. In a span of a few hours on Saturday morning, seven people were injured in three different accidents. The first accident involved an auto that lost control and crashed in the Bishalgarh bypass area, injuring two individuals.

Shortly after, two more road accidents took place. On the Bishalgarh-Brajapur road, a bike bearing registration number TR01R6972 collided with another bike with registration number TR07G9502. Three youths identified as Faruk Islam, Sohel Mia and Abhishek Debnath were injured in the collision. Firefighters quickly responded and transported the injured to the subdistrict hospital.

While returning, the firefighters were alerted to another accident. This incident involved a collision between a bike with registration number TR01G9868 and another bike with registration number TR01AX6405 on the Bishalgarh Bypass. Suman Mia and Rakesh Mia sustained serious injuries from the crash. Firefighters rescued the injured and took them to the Bishalgarh Subdivisional Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

The series of accidents highlighted the urgent need for effective road safety measures and heightened awareness among commuters to reduce the frequency of such incidents. Authorities are expected to investigate the causes of the accidents and implement necessary steps to enhance road safety in the region.
