Agartala, 21st November 2025:   Kailashahar Mini Market was gripped by shock and panic on Friday morning after the body of a man was found hanging from the veranda of a public toilet inside the busy vegetable market.

The deceased has been identified as Sujit Shabdakar (35), a resident of Mohanpur Kanjirgaon in Kailashahar. Local residents first spotted the body hanging in the early hours and quickly spread the news across social media, drawing a large crowd of curious onlookers to the scene.

Sujit’s elder brother Birendra Shabdakar rushed to the market after hearing of the incident. He told reporters that his younger brother had been missing since Thursday night despite extensive searches. On reaching the spot, he immediately recognized the body as his brother’s.

The recovery has raised suspicions among locals, with many questioning whether the death was a straightforward case of suicide.
