BY TC News Desk

Agartala, 2nd January 2023:   In a shocking incident on Tuesday morning, a dead body of 48-year-old Apu Das, also known as Montai, was discovered near the railway line in Ward No. 2 of North Deochra under the jurisdiction of Panisagar police station. Apu Das, a dedicated laborer employed at Job East.in, worked as a skilled railway electrician.

The discovery of Apu Das’s body unfolded following a series of unsettling events. According to a colleague of the deceased, Apu Das’s mobile phone had been switched off since 9 pm on Monday, raising concerns among his coworkers. Apu Das, who also served as a night guard, had vanished during his shift, prompting a search operation between 1 am and 5 am.

During the search, two shoes belonging to Apu Das were found approximately a kilometer away from the Kakari river bridge. Despite an extensive search of the surrounding area, no further clues were discovered. The gruesome truth came to light after Apu Das’s mutilated body was found between pillars 47 to 48 after 5 o’clock in the morning.

Bithika Das, the 45-year-old wife of the deceased, expressed her suspicions, asserting that Apu Das’s death was not natural. She revealed that a colleague had messaged her at 2 am, informing her that Apu Das was missing, and attempts to contact him were futile as his phone was switched off. The search continued throughout the night, culminating in the grim discovery of Apu Das’s lifeless body.
