Agartala, 27th October 2024:   Tensions have erupted following the sudden and mysterious death of a 12-year-old student, Sania Debbarma, who was found unconscious and later declared dead in the hostel of Nauai Academy English Medium School, Ranirbazar.

Her grieving family members are seeking answers as they await the post-mortem report, hoping it will reveal the cause of her untimely death.

The young student, who was a resident of the school hostel, had called her family yesterday afternoon. Her family shared that Sania sounded distressed, crying as she spoke with her mother, requesting money to buy a book. After being reassured that her mother would send the money, she calmed down and ended the call. Shortly after, the hostel authorities contacted the family, reporting that Sania had lost consciousness.

Sania’s family remains in shock, struggling to comprehend how their healthy child could pass away so suddenly. “She seemed absolutely fine when she spoke to us on the call, and her sudden death has left us shattered,” said a family member, questioning the circumstances leading up to her passing.

Ranirbazar police have sent Sania’s body for a post-mortem examination, and her family awaits the results, hoping for clarity amid their deep sorrow.
