Agartala, 15th April 2024: The educational community mourns the loss of Paresh Chakraborty, a meritorious child of the state and an exemplary teacher, who breathed his last on a somber day. Known as the national teacher, Chakraborty’s legacy extends beyond textbooks and classrooms. His contributions to education have left an indelible mark on countless lives.
In 1992, Teacher Paresh Chakraborty was honored with the prestigious President’s Award for his outstanding dedication to teaching. His commitment to nurturing young minds earned him the respect of colleagues, students, and parents alike.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha expressed deep sorrow at Chakraborty’s passing. His heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved family. Union Minister of state Pratima Bhowmik shared her grief, emphasizing the loss to Tripura. She prayed for the departed soul’s eternal peace.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath, visibly moved, remembered Chakraborty as the former headmaster of Agartala Dhaleshwar Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir and one of the main founders of Ramakrishna Ashram, Rani Khamar. Nath extended condolences to Chakraborty’s students and fellow devotees, believing that he would find eternal rest in Ramakrishna Loke Sri Sri Thakur.
