National flags made by women of Tripura reached Delhi: ICA Minister

Agartala: August 13. Information and Cultural Affairs minister Sushanta Chowdhury today informed that national flags made by the mothers and sisters of the state reached Delhi on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.

He further said that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the people and for which people from all parts are enjoying the benefits of different schemes. Minister Chowdhury said this while inaugurating a Mega Blood Donation Camp and the distribution of supporting materials among the beneficiaries of various government schemes on the occasion of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration at Jirania Block today. He said, “The significance of this year’s Independence Day is different. Because Independence Day could not be celebrated in a large scale way due to Corona in the last two years. So this time Har Ghar Triranga program has been undertaken on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrita Mahotsav”, he said.

He thanked every citizen for making the program of hoisting the national flag in every house a success in the state. He said that the national flag made by the mothers and sisters of the state has reached Delhi and the state government continues to make efforts to make mothers self-reliant through self-help groups. At this point, the number of SHG groups increased a lot in the state and their income also increased.Talking about the blood donation at the event, the Minister said that there is no greater donation than this. “By donating blood, as a donor saves the life of others, one can also find out if there is a physical problem in one’s own body”, the minister said.Vice Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Pritam Debnath, and District Magistrate Debpriya Bardhan also spoke on the occasion. BDO Anurag Sen delivered the welcome address on the occasion.

On the occasion, 2 beneficiaries were given power tillers, 6 mini rice mills, 2 pump sets and 9 battery spares under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana project from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Fish food has been given to 7 fishermen from the Department of Fisheries.
