National Lok Adalat on 11th February

Agartala, February 06, 2023: The National Lok Adalat will be held on February 11 next at the premises of Tripura High Court, all district and sub-divisional courts across the state.

Starting from 10 AM, a total of 6,664 cases will be taken up for disposal in 52 benches. This includes 3,949 cases related to pre-litigation disputes and 2,715 cases pending in court. 3,149 cases related to payment of bank loans in National Lok Adalat, 226 cases related to motor accident compensation, 3 cases related to acquisition of land, 800 cases related to unpaid bills of telecommunication corporations, 2,180 cases related to arbitral criminal disputes (MB Act, TP Act) Cases, 183 cases of matrimonial disputes, 85 cases related to bounce of checks and 37 other civil related cases will be taken up for disposal.

Meanwhile, a bench will sit in the Tripura High Court where 26 cases will be taken up for disposal in this bench. A maximum of 10 benches will sit in the Lok Adalat in the Agartala court premises.

Notices have already been given to the parties/opponents of the case. There will be a help desk in the court premises to help the citizens. Paralegal volunteers will assist people who have been served notices at the court premises.

Tripura State Legal Service Authority Member Secretary Data Mohan Jamatia has requested all concerned to take advantage of case settlement quickly and without legal expenses.
