Agartala, September 24: The second day of the NCC fest started with awareness rally by cadets on different issues like plastic free Tripura, NCC Yuva-Aapka Mitra, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao followed by cultural competitions of different colleges participated in the fest.
The various stalls like handicraft, know your NCC, health awareness, disaster management, food stalls, game stalls, NCC activities stalls etc. prepared by cadets on their own was inaugurated by N C Sharma, Director of Higher Education. Partha Bhattacharjee, Joint Director was accompanied him in this program.
Director in his speech expressed his great satisfaction seeing the performance of cadets in the fest. He motivated cadets to do well in their life and be an asset for the society. In the afternoon two street plays on ‘Say No to Drugs’ by BBM College cadets and Beti Bachao & Beti Padhao by Ramthakur college cadets were organized in front of state museum to spread awareness amongst the public on these issues.
The cadets very enthusiastically participated in all events of the fest, organized first time in Tripura.
