Agartala, 23rd August 2024: The Plenary Meeting of Northeast Council which was supposed to be take place in Agartala on August 31 and September 01, postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
North-eastern Council on X informed that the plenary meet scheduled to be held in Agartala, Tripura is postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
“Plenary Meeting Scheduled in Agartala Postponed. The Plenary meet scheduled to be held in Agartala, Tripura is postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. New dates will be announced in due course”, the post reads.
The meeting was supposed to chair by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and along with all the Chief Ministers and Governors of the all the Northeast states.
However, from August 19 Tripura has been facing severe flood crisis due to heavy rainfall which has forced over 60, 000 people to take shelter in over 400 relief camps.
