Agartala, January 18: Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan, one of the oldest schools in Agartala city, is gearing up for its annual procession on January 23, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The school will organize the 128th program this year, with a lot of enthusiasm among the students and teachers.
The procession will feature various interesting themes, such as Chandrayaan 3, India’s third lunar mission. Students from class III to class XI will participate in the themes, while girls of class 10th and 12th will form the Sankh Bahini, a women’s militia led by Netaji, and boys will act as volunteers. The secondary and higher secondary examinees are exempted from the themes, but they are also eagerly waiting for the day.
Barnali Majumder, the teacher-in-charge and convenor of 128th Netaji Birthday Celebration Committee 2024 of the school, said that the procession is a grand event of the school authorities every year, and it pays tribute to the legacy of Netaji, who was a great freedom fighter and leader of India.
