Agartala, July 1, 2023: In a heart-warming incident, a new born baby girl was discovered in the agricultural land of Noagaon area in Maracherra Gram Panchayat. Baban Malakar, a vigilant resident, noticed movement coming from a bag left in the field.
Raising an alarm, locals gathered around and carefully opened the bag, revealing the precious sight of a new born baby girl. Acting swiftly, they immediately rushed the infant to the Maracherra Primary Health Centre, where Dr. Amit Debbarma provided initial medical assistance before arranging her transfer to Kamalpur BSM Hospital.
As the information of the found new born spread rapidly, drawing a multitude of well-wishers to the hospital, eager to catch a glimpse of the newborn baby girl. Concurrently, a delegation from the Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TCPCR) hastened to the hospital, expressing their concern and commitment to ensuring the child’s welfare.
Despite their efforts, local residents have been unable to identify the child or determine the circumstances that led to her abandonment. Such incidents unfortunately occur with regularity, raising questions about the administration’s attention to this recurring issue.
The finding of this innocent life serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for collective action to protect and nurture vulnerable children in our society. The community stands united in the hope that justice will prevail, bringing solace to the baby girl and a renewed commitment to preventing such heart-wrenching incidents in the future.
