Agartala, 24th November 2025: A newly married youth lost his life in a horrific road accident while on his way to attend a religious gathering at Natunbazar late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Abul Kalam, also known as Nabi (28) of Birampur under Jatrapur police station.
Police official said that the accident took place around 11 pm near Dhanpur, when Kalam’s speeding motorcycle collided with a stationary truck parked on a roadside bridge. The impact was so severe that he died instantly at the scene.
On receiving information, Jatrapur police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to the hospital. The incident triggered tension in the area, drawing locals and family members to the hospital.
Kalam’s family is devastated. His wife, who is four months pregnant, was among those who rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news. The victim had been working in Chennai and was the sole breadwinner of the family. His mother, who works as a laborer, now faces the grim reality of running the household without him.
