NIELIT Agartala holds job fair to boost student employability

Agartala, 20th January 2026:   The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), Agartala successfully organised a Job Fair on 20th January 2026 at its campus, providing a significant platform for students to connect with potential employers.

The programme was graced by Shyamal Bhattacharya, Joint Director, Directorate of Employment Services and Manpower Planning, Government of Tripura, as the Chief Guest.

The Guests of Honour for the event were Dr Abhijit Das, Assistant Professor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Bengaluru, and Dr Nirmalya Kar, Assistant Professor, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala.

The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome address by Shri Niladri Das, Director-in-Charge, NIELIT Agartala. In his address, he highlighted the institute’s continuous efforts towards enhancing employability and industry readiness among students.

The inaugural programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Kumar Amitabh, Senior Technical Officer, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, participating companies, organisers, and students for making the event a success.

A total of more than 10 companies viz. Pran Beverages India Pvt Ltd, Unity Gastro & Lever Hospital, Technomate Edibotics, Bleep Education, HDFC Life, Longtharai Spices, Vishal Megamart, Bajaj Allianz, PKRTSAC Pvt Ltd etc participated in the Job Fair. More than 300 students registered for the event, out of which 113candidates were shortlisted by the participating companies.

The Job Fair proved to be a fruitful initiative, reinforcing NIELIT Agartala’s commitment to skill development, career guidance, and employment facilitation for students and graduates.
