Agartala, November 2, 2023: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala will conduct its 16th convocation ceremony on November 4, 2023, at its campus. The announcement was made by the director of NIT Agartala, Professor SK Patra, in a press conference on Thursday.
The convocation will be graced by the presence of the state Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, the former director of IIT Kharagpur Professor Damodar Acharya, the chairman of the Board of Governors of NIT Agartala Vinod Bauri, and other dignitaries.
The institute offers nine branches at the B Tech level, 24 specializations at the M Tech level, and six branches at the dual degree courses. It also started a four-year integrated teacher education program from the academic year 2023-24, with the aim of preparing teachers for secondary level education as per the new framework of the National Education Policy 2020.
The director said that in the convocation ceremony, 45 PhDs, 117 M Techs, and 552 B Techs and dual degrees will be awarded to the graduates of various courses. He congratulated the students for their achievements and wished them success in their future endeavors.
