Agartala, July 14, 2022: Refuting the allegations of Pradesh Congress against BJP for the attack at Bishramganj, party’s state spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee clearly stated that the miscreants who have attacked the Congress party are neither ‘karyakartas’ nor any local leaders of the ruling saffron party in Tripura.
Speaking to the media persons at BJP state headquarters here, Bhattacharjee said “For the last few days, we have seen that a group of miscreants attacked Congress party workers and leaders. Congress party can raise allegations whatever the reason is. Now, CPIM had also started to place their points in this regard.”
“An untoward incident took place at Bishramganj and there is nothing to be denied. Miscreants staged attack and we have that information. After we got the information of attack, we have talked with the district president, mandal president, etc to know who are involved behind this attack were asked to collect the information. Thereafter, they informed us”, he added.
Spokesperson said “Later, former MLA Asish Kumar Saha communicated with chief minister Dr Manik Saha and placed a list of names. CM wrote down the names and informed the local leaders about the names and also given to the police. The names given to the Chief Minister, none of them are the workers or ‘Karyakartas’ of BJP. The accused person are also not even the members of the party. Police is being given the responsibility to find out the accused person involved in attacking Congress party leaders. In the meantime, police had initiated certain steps.”
“The big thing is CPIM issued press release and the same were reflected. This CPIM during their regime of long 25 years, that time main opposition party was Congress, their party workers were tortured and murdered, however, among them most are with us now. That CPIM is now issuing press release mentioning that the Congress party leaders and workers were attacked. It is clearly understood about their position at present. This clearly reflects the positions of CPIM and Congress parties. We strongly oppose the motive behind this propaganda”, he also added.
