Agartala, August 30, 2022: Corruption is so rampant in various panchayats of the state that it has become huge in some of them. Members of the same ruling political party are forced to move a no-confidence motion against their Pradhan. Bela Ghosh is currently the Pradhan of Purba Hurua village panchayat under Bagbasa assembly constituency.
It is alleged that due to being close to mandal president Sudip Deb, he is working according to his own will without paying attention to the words of the Panchayat members and has become accustomed to accepting bribe money with both hands for every job. Despite the fact that the mandal president has been playing a silent role while running corruption like this for a long six months.
Protesting this, their party members together submitted a no-confidence motion against the Pradhan to the district panchayat officer on Tuesday. It is to be noted that after seeing the corruption of mandal president Sudip Deb on one side and the corruption of Bela Ghosh on the other side, the common BJP supporters have raised their eyebrows and started thinking about something else.
