Agartala, August 30, 2022: The Fertilizer and Seed Support Centre at Lembutali under Kamalasagar assembly constituency is left closed for most of the days. Meanwhile, the farmers went to the centre to collect fertilizer but returns home empty hand as it was closed for the entire day on Tuesday. The farmers expressed their anger against the Lembutali’s Fertilizer and Seed Support Centre.

Now the Aman paddy crop needs urea fertilizer at the moment but the farmers are suffering due to the closure of fertilizer providing centres. Although the farmers cannot afford to buy chemical fertilizers from the market, the farmers are struggling due to the high price of chemical fertilizers in the open market.

According to Madhupur Sector Office, Fanibhushan Sarkar was working in Lembutlai Fertilizer Support Centre, but he was transferred from Lembutali to Nabinagar but he has been asked to manage Lembutali Fertilizer and Seed Support Centre till the arrival of new officer. But Fanibhushan Sarkar did not do that, he went to the office where he was transferred and took office charges.

As a result, the Lembutali’s Fertilizer Centre is closed for the whole day. Due to the ignorance of the Madhupur sector office, the farmers have to refrain from applying fertilizers to the crop land. The main backbone of the society is farmers and the Madhupur sector office is making those farmers miserable.

Farmers are angry about the role of the administration. But what does Madhupur sector officer care about, they are sitting and getting government money every month. But all the people of the society have to pay the price of not getting help from the main backbone of the society, the farmer’s support centre.
