Agartala, 14th August 2024: In celebration of the 78th Independence Day, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s 14 Badharghat Mandal organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Wednesday at Anandamoyi Kali Mandir in AD Nagar, the capital city. The event saw the presence of MP Biplab Kumar Deb, MLA Minarani Sarkar and other officials.
MP Deb initiated the cleanliness drive by cleaning temples. Addressing the media later, he emphasized the impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s motivation on India’s transparency and cleanliness. “Transparency has come to India today due to the motivation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. People maintain cleanliness,” he stated.
Deb highlighted the importance of regular cleanliness drives, saying, “The message given by the programs organized today is that people should keep our surroundings clean by doing such programs regularly.” He also took a jab at the opposition, asserting, “There is no other political party except Bharatiya Janata Party in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. If CPIM and Congress do this kind of Swachh Bharat campaign, then who will do the corruption?”
He further criticized the opposition parties, claiming, “CPIM and Congress have no emotional connection with Swachh Bharat. They come to politics to earn. So all their corruption! But the mindset of the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to serve the country and work for the people.”
During the event, party functionaries congratulated MP Biplab Kumar Deb by presenting a wreath. Deb also took the opportunity to discuss organizational issues with area karyakartas.
