Agartala, June 16, 2023: In the era of good governance, bad governance is being established in Kanakpur village under Noorpur village panchayat of Kailashahar. It is alleged that the Panchayat members of the ruling party entered the office and beat up the Tehsildar during the office hours. That too, not one day, but two days in a row, entered the office during office hours and severely beat the Tahsildar. And also threatened to kill the elected panchayat members of the BJP party.
This incident created intense excitement in the concerned area. However, the elected panchayat member of the BJP party involved in the incident has denied the incident. The incident took place at the Lakshipur Tehsil Kachari office in Kanakpur village under Noorpur Gram Panchayat of Kailashahar. It is learned that Manna Das has been working as Tehsildar in Lakshipur Tehsil Kachari for a long time.
Tehsildar Manna Das said on Friday afternoon that Munim Ali, an elected panchayat member of the BJP party of Noorpur Gram Panchayat, often comes to Lakshipur Tehsil Kachari and creates pressure to sign his illegal work papers. And he himself allegedly behaved rudely with Tehsildar Manna Das on account of being an elected panchayat member of the ruling BJP party. Lakshipur Tehsil came to Kachari during office hours on Thursday afternoon and asked to sign the illegal papers by entering the office.
After listening to Munim Ali, Tehsildar Manna Das refused to sign, Munim Ali beat Manna inside the office. Later, Manna Das ran to the nearby godown of the Agriculture Department and saved his life. On Friday again around eleven o’clock in the morning, Munim Ali came inside Lakshipur Tehsil Kachari office and said to sign the illegal paper again. Manna Das refused to sign. Munim Ali beats up Manna Das. And turns everything upside down including chairs tables, furniture, register books in the office. Manna Das also said that Munim Ali threatened to kill Manna Das while leaving the office.
After this incident, Manna Das reported in writing to Kailashahar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Pradip Sarkar. After receiving the written complaint of Manna Das, the SDM Sarkar registered a case against Munim Ali, an elected panchayat member of the BJP party at the Kailashahar police station. However, when Munim Ali, an elected member of the BJP party of Noorpur Gram Panchayat, was asked about this, Munim Ali said that this is a completely false story. He is being tricked on purpose. Munim Ali said that the fuel of the opposition party is behind this incident. In this way, the elected panchayat member of the ruling party openly entered the government office and severely beat up the worker, causing a storm of condemnation among the employees.
