The meeting was attended by key administrative officials and graced by the presence of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin Secretary Brijesh Pandey.

The session commenced at 11:30 AM as DM Chandran welcomed Secretary Pandey. Speaking to the media personnel after the meeting, Pandey lauded North Tripura’s outstanding performance in the Swachh Bharat Mission calling it the top-performing district in the state.

He noted that since Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Mission in 2014, the second phase initiated in 2019 has made notable strides. “With the guidance of the District Magistrate, every village here is on the path to becoming a model village,” he said.

Ahead of the review, Secretary Pandey handed over memorandums of appreciation to the heads of Sat Sangam Panchayat under Kadamtala Block, Shanicherra Panchayat under Kalacherra Block and Charubasa Panchayat under Jubarajnagar Block in recognition of their effective implementation efforts.

Following the meeting, Pandey is scheduled to inspect multiple Panchayat areas across the district, highlighting the mission’s commitment to transforming every village under its ambit into a model of cleanliness and public health.
