North-East Circle Postal Supervisors’ Association holds first biennial conference in Agartala

Agartala, 29th June 2026:   The first biennial conference of the North-East Circle and Assam Circle of the Indian Postal, RMS, and Administrative Supervisors’ Association (Group-B) was successfully held on Sunday, June 28, at the TB Association Hall in Agartala.

The conference was attended by senior office bearers and dignitaries, with Central Committee President of the Association, Arani Bhattacharya, attending as the chief guest. Agartala Press Club President Pranab Sarkar and senior journalist Abhishek Dey were present as guests of honour.

The event was also attended by Swarnendu Chakraborty, Secretary of the West Bengal Circle of BPEF; Bibhankur Nath, Secretary of the North-East Circle; former North-East Circle Secretary Partha Chakraborty; and former Convener of BMS Tripura State, Subir Debbarma.

During the conference, discussions were held on various organizational issues and matters related to the association’s functioning. The chief guest, special guests, and other speakers addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination among postal, RMS, and administrative supervisors.

Following the discussions, the new North-East Circle committee of the Indian Postal, RMS, and Administrative Supervisors’ Association (Group-B) was formed. Rajib Dutta was elected as the President of the committee, while Sudip Debbarma was appointed as the Secretary.

Members expressed hope that the newly formed committee would work towards addressing the concerns of supervisors and further strengthening the organization across the region.
