Agartala, 2nd December 2024: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has called for the immediate appointment of professors in the state’s colleges to address various issues faced by students. On Monday, the organization submitted a deputation to the Director of the Higher Education Department.
A leader of the NSUI highlighted that students are experiencing numerous problems due to the shortage of professors, leading to reliance on guest lectures. “The BJP-led government is planning to close schools in the state, which have been suffering from a teacher shortage for a long time. Yet, no initiatives have been taken to resolve this issue,” he stated.
In response to these concerns, the NSUI has taken a stand by submitting the deputation, urging the government to take swift action to improve the educational infrastructure.
