Agartala, 25th April 2024: In a chilling incident that has left the residents of Tepania Pal Para area in Udaipur reeling, 65-year-old Narayan Das was brutally murdered in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to statements from Jaharlal Das, the brother of the deceased, the alleged perpetrator of this heinous crime is Judhisthi Sarkar, the son-in law of of Narayan Das’s brother, Haradhan Das.
Jaharlal Das recounted the harrowing scene, describing how he was awakened by screams and shouts around 4 a.m., only to find his elder brother lying in a pool of blood, fatally wounded. Judhisthi Sarkar, in a frenzied state, allegedly confessed to the killing, claiming that he had attacked Narayan Das and urgently demanded medical assistance.
In response to the distressing scene, Jaharlal Das and other family members apprehended Judhisthi Sarkar, restraining her with ropes until authorities arrived. The Radhakishor Pur police station was promptly notified, and Officer-in-Charge along with SP Gomati arrested Judhisthi Sarkar.
Initial police inquiries suggest that the fatal altercation ensued during a drinking session between Narayan Das and the son-in-law, on the preceding Wednesday night. The exact motives behind the violent quarrel remain undisclosed at this time.
