Agartala, 15th July 2025: Acting on a tip-off, Sonamura police conducted a successful anti-narcotics operation in the Induria Bandari Chhara area resulting in the recovery of a massive haul of cannabis.
During the raid, police officials seized eight drums containing a total of 345 kilograms of dry cannabis from the residence of a 31-year-old man identified as Iqbal Hossain. The estimated street value of the confiscated narcotics stands at Rs 15 lakh.
Iqbal Hossain has been taken into custody in connection with the seizure. Authorities confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine whether the accused was part of a larger drug network.
