One held with brown sugar in Dharmanagar

Agartala: April 21. Tripura police yesterday late night arrested one person and seized 32 grams of brown sugar from Netaji Para of Dighal Bagh under Dharmanagar sub-divison. Acting on a tip-off, police from Dharmanagar police station raided a house in Netaji Para of Dighal Bagh and arrested a person named Radha Manik Halam. 32 grams of brown sugar and 30,900 rupees cash were found from him.

The operation was carried out late on Thursday night. The operation was led by OC Shibranjan Dey, Sub-Inspector Raju Bhowmik and Sub-Inspector Subhankar. It is known that Radha Manik Halam resides in Jaithang ADC Village of Bagbasa Assembly Constituency. Allegations have surfaced that a youth community in Dharmanagar city is getting addicted by buying drugs from him. A case under NDPS section has been registered against him and he will be sent to the court.
