One held with pistol, live round in Agartala

Agartala: January 24. Ahead of the forthcoming assembly election slated to be held on February 16, Tripura Police on Tuesday evening arrested one person along with arms and ammunition from Chenaihani road situated at the outskirt of Agartala City.

Police sources said that today evening during Naka checking at Chenaihani jointly by Police personnel of Airport Police Station staff Sikkim Armed Police, Tripura State Rifles and SST team detained one person and seized one factory made Pistol.

The person identified as Biman Das of Gandhigram area.Duding the preliminary interrogation police personnel also seized two magazines, 46 rounds (7.62mm) from his possession.
