Agartala, 19th October 2024:  Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury visited the family of the late businessman Hari Shankar Saha at their home near Lal Bahadur Club in the capital city. During his visit, Chaudhury spoke with Saha’s wife and son, offering his condolences and paying tribute to the late businessman from Melarmath.

Chowdhury expressed his concerns about the state’s security and discipline stating, “Hari Shankar Saha has become a victim of the government’s indifference. There is no discipline in the state.” He criticized the police for their inaction, claiming, “The police could have easily saved Hari Shankar Saha that day, but they did not take any action. The police are indirectly murderers.”

He assured the grieving family that he would do his utmost to ensure that the accused receive exemplary punishment. “The people of Hari Shankar Saha’s house have not only lost a family member, but the people of the state have also lost one of their own. This family has lost a person, and the state has lost a valuable member,” Chowdhury said.
